About R3KONX

One operational identity. Three specialist domains.

R3KONX brings sensing, striking and defending together under one mission: a platform for the people who work across the electromagnetic spectrum and contested networks.

Electronic intelligence, offensive security and cyber operations are usually treated as separate disciplines, with separate events and separate communities. In practice they depend on each other.

R3KONX is built on that overlap. The flagship event runs three tracks on one floor, with curated talks, hands-on training and The BattleGrid CTF. Between editions, R3KONX publishes briefings and connects the practitioners, researchers and organisations working in these domains across the region.

R3KONX is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Principles
  • Curated, not submitted

Every talk is invited. The programme team selects speakers for first-hand operational depth and evidence, not volume.

  • Practitioner-first

A working floor for the people who do the work: operators, analysts, researchers and engineers. Sessions assume technical fluency.

  • Cross-domain by design

Signals, offence and operations meet in the same building. The Main Stage carries the sessions that sit between the tracks.

  • Specific over general

Talks lead with method, data and outcome, so attendees leave with something they can apply.

Domains

What each track covers

Topic areas guide the programme. Specific sessions are announced as speakers are confirmed.

Band 01 · ELINT

Electronic Intelligence

Collection and analysis of signals across the electromagnetic spectrum: identifying emitters, characterising waveforms and building situational awareness from what is transmitted. The track covers the tradecraft, the tooling and the operational limits.

  • SDR and RF tradecraft
  • Emitter identification and geolocation
  • Satellite and telemetry analysis
  • Electronic warfare and spectrum operations
  • Cyber electromagnetic activities (CEMA)
Band 02 · OFFSEC

Offensive Security

Adversarial testing and research that shows where defences actually fail. Sessions focus on method and evidence: how access was gained, what was learned, and what defenders should change as a result.

  • Red team operations
  • Exploit development and vulnerability research
  • Adversary emulation
  • Hardware, firmware and embedded targets
  • Offensive tooling and tradecraft
Band 03 · CYOPS

Cyber Operations

Full-spectrum execution: detection, response and control in contested networks. The track covers how operations are planned, run and assessed, including information warfare and the intelligence that drives decisions.

  • Threat intelligence
  • Detection engineering
  • Incident response at scale
  • Information warfare and influence operations
  • Operational planning and command
